Assistant Accountant - AAT Level 3

The successful candidate will gain a wide range of experience in accountancy, e.g. undertaking bookkeeping and preparing VAT returns, in a friendly environment, achieving a professional qualification without incurring student loan debt. The office is based close to Rotherham town centre where free on-street parking is available outside the office.

About our client:

Established in 2001, our client is an independent firm of chartered accountants and business advisors. They offer a comprehensive range of accountancy and business advisory services to private individuals and companies in many sectors across South Yorkshire and the North Midlands.

The role:

Possible start date: ASAP

Monday to Thursday; 9am to 5pm & Friday; 9am to 4pm

Total working hours: 36.5

What you will do in your working day:

• Assisting more senior members of staff in the preparation of accounts and tax returns.
• Undertaking bookkeeping and preparing VAT returns etc. for clients using a variety of accounting software packages.
• There will be some administrative duties (answering phones, filing etc.), although this will be approximately 15% of total time.

The training you will receive:

• Level 3 AAT qualification.
• All training is undertaken online, through a combination of self-paced eLearning and live online classes.

Potential full-time role on successful completion of this apprenticeship.
