As an Assistant Accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the finance department in various accounting tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong foundation in accounting principles and a desire to contribute to the success of a thriving organisation.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Raising charges and processing cash receipts for payments where applicable.
- Working on accounts payable.
- Production of weekly and ad hoc reporting.
- Carrying out overhead analysis.
- Performing bank reconciliations.
- Maintaining control account reconciliation.
- Raising sales invoices.
- Processing VAT returns.
- Preparing management accounts.
- Providing financial analysis.
- Producing various reports.
To be considered for the position of Assistant Accountant, you will require:
- AAT level 3 qualified or part-qualified (e.g., ACCA, CIMA).
- Previous experience in similar role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
