About The Role
This Assistant Accountant’s role requires some occasional sites visits. However, it is predominantly a hybrid working role.
Aimed at supporting the Finance Team, the successful applicant will be reporting to the Suffolk Senior Accountant.
Key Duties & Responsibilities will Include:
- Responsible for the timely and accurate processing of monthly Journals.
- Calculating Monthly Accruals and Prepayments.
- Depot Inventory processing and variance analysis.
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Monthly Payroll processing cover and support.
- Supporting the purchase to pay and three-way-match processes for the contract.
- Ensuring compliance of internal and UK FRS Accounting policies and processes.
- Identifying and driving improvements in processes and systems, identifying and mitigate risk.
- Supporting the interim and year-end audit process.
- Supporting the contract forecasting process.
Essential Skills:
- Part Qualified Accountant with at least a minimum 2 years experience in a similar role.
- Initiative-taking, robust, and resourceful finance professional.
- Remain focused in a challenging environment.
- Ability to build relationships on a cross-functional basis within the sector and business.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Advance Excel skills.
- Driving License.
