Accounts Senior (London)
Our client is looking to recruit an office Accounts Senior (AAT qualified) to join part of their thriving business. The business has a state-of-the-art showroom that holds over 60 performance cars and is also involved in restoration of classic cars and car park rental. The business is situated in West London and the successful applicant will need to be able to work from this location.
Main duties:
The main duties (but not limited to) are the following:
- Ensure processing of accounts information into accounts software is kept up to date.
- Ensure stock book for car transactions is kept up to date.
- Prepare monthly management accounts to initial stage.
- Perform bank reconciliations, for both sterling and currency accounts.
- Comply with internal policies and procedures, ethical standards and regulatory requirements.
- Involvement with preparation and completion of quarterly VAT returns.
- Work with finance team to deliver timely information for review.
Training will be given by the team in house on all systems and procedures.

Ideally the successful candidate will have the following attributes, skills, experience, and qualifications:
- A keen understanding and passion for the motor industry is preferred, however not required.
- Outgoing, socially confident, and emotionally controlled.
- A positive attitude, friendly, and approachable.
- Resilient, able to multi-task and work independently.
- Adaptable, organised, and conscientious.
- Take the initiative, ability to prioritise, and meet deadlines.
- Good working knowledge of general IT Word, Excel etc.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven accuracy and eye for detail.
- Ability to present information effectively and concisely in emails and documents.
- Experience of working at an accounts practice or in industry.
- Basic knowledge of QuickBooks Online accounting software preferred.
- AAT qualified or higher.
