Assistant Building Services Manager

The Role
We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Building Services Manager to be based in the Bolton or Stoke areas for a role with one of the UK's leading main contractors. This is a great opportunity to join this well-known company at a time of further growth. With a portfolio of repeat business from blue-chip clients and further work won, the successful candidate will be given the opportunity to work across many projects, including within their flourishing decarbonisation sector and once proficient in the role, there will be the opportunity to specialise in a preferred area. The Assistant Building Services Manager will be mentored by experienced professionals and progress their career journey within a friendly helpful team.

The Candidate
The client is looking to review CV's from candidates who are keen to embrace new opportunities and who will grow under the mentorship of experienced BSM's.

Any experience within the M&E or construction sector is a bonus, but the client is also interested in someone with the right attitude and work ethic.
The Role and its Responsibilities
Supporting the BSM with the M&E packages across multiple projects
Frequent site visits to carry out quality checks on installations, attend client meetings etc
Design coordination
Commissioning management
Supply chain engagement
Input into the production of procedures and guide documents for the team
Health and Safety procedure improvement and audits
Reinforce the aims of the SHEQ team ensuring best practices are consistently adopted
Ensure sites/sub-contractors are following H&S policy
Review for risk and opportunity
Scoping of packages
Planning/Pre-Construction
Input in to the tender programme
Supporting bid team - technical questions, attending client meetings
Continual liaison with clients to ensure clients brief/expectations are met
Establish and set the quality standards on site with the delivery team
Provide support and advise to the site delivery team
On site quality checks
On site progress monitoring
Overseeing the commissioning process
Ensure most efficient and effective operating procedures are utilised on site

Qualifications

Relevant industry degree qualification

Salary
GBP26-32K plus excellent mentorship and career prospects.
