Assistant Caretaker

Job Tittle: Assistant School Caretaker
Location: South Norwood Sites
Hours: Monday to Friday 9am-5pm (during school holidays 8am-4pm)
Hourly Pay: £14 - £17 per hour

HRGO Recruitment are looking for an experienced Caretaker to join our client's school in South Norwood. The successful candidate will be responsible for liaising daily with the Headteacher about premises issues, supervising the cleaners, ensuring security of the school, and most importantly helping maintain the internal and external fabric of the school, making sure it's a safe working environment.

Job Responsibilities

• General maintenance throughout the school
• Reporting all defects which require specialist repair
• Regular water temp checks
• Undertake minor repairs / DIY along with fixtures and fittings (including desks tables chairs etc)
• Reading, recording and reporting all meter readings as required by the Head Teacher and or Energy Conservation Officer
• Health and safety tests
• General site supervision, including prevention of trespass, ensuring that unauthorised parking does not occur
• Opening and closing of school gates

To Note

• DBS check required (if you do not already have one)
• Must have Full UK Driving Licence & Vehicle
