Assistant Chef
22.5 hours per week (3 day shifts over 7, including weekends)

Are you committed to maintain our 5 star food hygiene rating?
As an Assistant Chef, you will be required to support the Head Chef and team with providing consistent high-quality food for patients, staff, internal meetings and external functions. This role will involve preparing, cooking, serving meals and cleaning of the kitchens, ensuring allergies and special dietary requests are dealt with appropriately. You will also deal with daily deliveries, stock rotation and comply with Food Safety regulations.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working operationally within a catering environment, be able to maintain consistent food standards and presentation whilst prioritising a workload and be an effective team player.
The Catering team’s shift patterns are normally worked between 7.30am – 6.30pm, Monday – Sunday, as well as some public holidays (Christmas Day, Boxing Day etc). However, full flexibility is essential as no two days are the same and it is imperative the needs of the Hospice and Catering Team are met at all times.
