The company you will be working for is an established Tier 1 main contractor, with the Midlands division turnover projected at over £200m for 2023. Winning multiple awards for its developments and expanding its team and portfolio into new sectors it's an exciting time to join the team.
As Assistant Design Manager you will play a vital role in the project team, supporting the project Senior/Design Manager in various aspects of the design process.
This includes preparing scope of works documents and scope mark-ups, developing the design programme, facilitating value engineering, verifying the design processes, coordinating the design team meetings and workshops, and managing the documents related to the design. Additionally, the Assistant Design Manager will be responsible for collating, managing, and submitting design evidence for approval from third parties such as BREEAM, CfSH, and client's insurers.
You will also assist the project Senior/Design Manager in preparing monthly reports and client reports and assembling and archiving handover information at project completion. To ensure compliance, you will interrogate and fully understand the clients requirements, design brief, and specifications, and will input, produce, and implement the project Design Management forms following the company guidelines and procedures.
Furthermore, as Assistant Design Manager you will ensure that the scope of services for each consultant/subcontractor appointment/order meets the project requirements and work alongside the commercial team during procurement.
