Assistant Director Of Finance, Revenues And Benefits (Deputy S.151 Officer)

A borough full of opportunity, we are seeking to appoint an Assistant Director of Finance, Revenues and Benefits that will work with the Section 151 Officer to provide strategic financial leadership to support the delivery of the council’s key Council Plan objectives helping to ensure the council’s long-term financial health and sustainability is maintained.

The successful candidate will lead and direct the Finance, Revenues and Benefits functions as part of a wider Senior Leadership Team restructure that will come into effect from 1 April 2024 (subject to Full Council approval).

They will be responsible for four key areas: Finance Business Partnering, Financial Systems and Reporting (incl Payroll), Revenues and Benefits. Transformation and Change is a key strand to the Council’s Plan and with support from the Corporate ICT and Corporate Systems Support Teams, the post holder will ensure that the key financial systems are updated, developed and replaced as the business need requires.
