Client

A leading Public Sector organisation is currently recruiting a Assistant Finance Projects and Reporting Manager to join their team based in Belfast City Centre for an initial 12 month contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an employer with an excellent reputation in the local market and who provide an essential service to the local community.

The postholder will support the Finance Projects and Reporting Manager to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of the Finance Systems Development and provide a lead role in systems Projects and financial reporting within the Finance Division.

The Ideal Person

• A degree or equivalent level qualification in a relevant subject (such as IT or accounting) and a minimum of 1 years' relevant experience in a Business Improvement / Financial Systems environment.

or

• Foundation papers of a CCAB Accounting Body and a minimum of 2 years' relevant experience in a Business Improvement / Financial Systems environment.

or

• Can demonstrate equivalent continuing professional development/experiential learning and a minimum of 3 years’ working within a Business Improvement / Financial Systems environment.

Can demonstrate significant relevant experience of experience of:

• Developing financial reports for Senior Management to tight timescales using Business Intelligence Tools e.g. Business Objects/PowerBI.
• Taking a lead role in significant business improvement projects.

Candidates must also demonstrate significant relevant experience in at least 2 of the following areas:

• Experience in the implementation and/or development and/or maintenance of financial management systems.
• Experience in developing Complex Excel spreadsheet models to suit business requirements.
• Experience in implementing new business processes within a Finance environment, ensuring appropriate controls and enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.
