The Role
Hays are recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a Assistant Financial Accountant to join our client on an ongoing long term temporary assignment for an approximate duration of 12 months (rolling, reviewed annually).

The Financial Accounting and Cash Management team is responsible for the accounting for multiple legal entities and for the effective management of cash and payments, given that our businesses operates in multiple currencies and trades with a broad range of customers, suppliers and other group entities globally.

Key Responsibilities
· General Ledger accounting in SAP - incl. preparing and posting journals (park and post).
· Partnering with business areas (e.g. Ownership Services) to support existing processes incl. accounting for warranty claims and sales invoicing for ancillary products.
· Group Reporting - preparing financial information enabling us to submit accurate periodic reporting packages to the group (monthly, quarterly and annually).
· Maintaining integrity and provide assurance as to our financial records through, for example, balance sheet reconciliations and strengthening the Internal Control System.
· Contributing to the preparation, analysis and submission of Budget and Forecast scenarios to group central departments.
· Supporting Cash Management by facilitating well-controlled payment runs.
· Contributing to meaningful actuals and forecast analysis across multiple currencies (Financial Exposure Planning).
Skills and Qualifications:
· Strong SAP interrogation skills, a confidence in analytical MS Excel abilities.
· Experience in a multi-business unit and/or multi-currency environment
· A high degree of accuracy and the ability to prioritise effectively.
· Proven ability to think critically around processes and data.
· Positive attitude and an enthusiasm to work as part of a high-performing team.
