Assistant Financial Accountant | Loughborough | c.£30,000 + Study Support + Bonus
Are you part-qualified through AAT/CIMA/ACA/ACCA and looking for a role that will allow you to continue your journey towards becoming a qualified accountant, whilst also growing your finance exposure?
Do you have previous experience operating on both sides of the ledger within a clerical finance based role and now aspiring to make that step up into more month end related tasks and financial accounts preparation?

This company operate within the construction industry and are looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Financial Accountantto join their ranks. In this role you will get to report in to an Assistant Finance Manager who is very experienced and enjoys supporting junior members.
Their offices are well furbished and close to Loughborough city centre, making this role easily accessible from across the east midlands.
The role has arisen due to company growth and progression within the current team, showing that progression routes for the successful applicant are also likely to be readily accessible.
Role: Assistant Financial Accountant.
Location: Loughborough, Leicestershire.
Salary: c.£30,000 + Bonus (Which is often around 10% but varies).
Exposure and duties include:
- To support the preparation of annual statutory accounts.
- Maintenance of the fixed asset register.
- Balance sheet and control account reconciliation.
- Production of journals.
- Production of financial reports for month end.
- Control over the nominal ledger.
- Ad-hoc analysis and assistance when required.
 
You do not need previous experience with all the above duties, the organisation are happy to provide some training. However, it is important that you:
- Possess previous experience within a finance role and have familiarity with both sides of the ledger.
- Are proficient with excel and accountancy software.
- Are either already qualified by experience or actively pursuing AAT/ACCA/ACA/CIMA.
