Assistant General Manager – US Virgin Islands

Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 + Relocation Assistance + Benefits + PTO

Location: St Thomas, US Virgin Islands

My client is a tropical retreat who offers unparalleled luxury and relaxation, providing guests with a beachfront escape in a laid-back atmosphere.

The resort is currently seeking a Assistant General Manager to lead its team and ensure exceptional hospitality experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting the GM in overseeing all aspects of resort operations, including accommodations, food and beverage, recreation, and guest services
• Assist in managing and leading a diverse team of employees of around 90 people, including hiring, training, and performance management
• Ensuring exceptional guest experiences by maintaining high standards of service and hospitality
• Collaborate to developing and managing budgets, financial plans, and forecasting to optimize revenue and control costs

Ideal Assistant General Manager:

• Proven experience in a leadership role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a resort or hotel setting
• Experience working in an Island Resort
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, employees, and stakeholders at all levels
• Solid understanding of financial management, budgeting, and revenue management principles
• US Citizen – no visa sponsorship offered
