Assistant Greenkeeper

Weston-super-Mare Golf Club is looking to recruit an Assistant Greenkeeper to join our existing team.

The position is full time, 40 hours per week plus 1 in 4 weekends.

The main duties and personal requirement include but are not restricted to:

• Assisting the team in all aspects of greenkeeping, including: cutting all playing surfaces, changing holes, setting up golf course for play

• Helping the team ensure that the course is presented in the best possible condition to exceed the expectations of members and visitors

• Assisting with construction, aeration, and renovation works

• Ability to safely operate a wide range of golf course machinery

• Undertaking specific training on machinery and other working practices

The successful candidate should possess the following attributes:

• A strong work ethic coupled with excellent time keeping

• A positive team player who has equal ability to work on their own

• An excellent attention to detail

• Ability to work with care and consideration of equipment

• Ability to complete tasks in line with Health and Safety regulations

• Relevant greenkeeping or horticulture qualifications is desirable but not essential.
