Position:Assistant Greenkeeper
Highly rated in the Nottinghamshire and surrounding areas Wollaton Park Golf Club is a par 71 parkland course set in the middle of a deer park.
This is a very exciting opportunity to join Wollaton Park Golf Club as the club edges closer to its centenary year in 2027 with lots of exciting projects and renovations planned. Wollaton Park Golf Club is looking to push forward with further improving the course and the successful candidate will be central to this. We are seeking to appoint a passionate and hard-working individual to help the club achieve this and firmly establish itself as one of the top courses in the Nottinghamshire and surrounding areas.

Overview of Role
Experience in greenkeeping, machinery operation and health and safety will put you at an advantage. Industry qualifications are not a necessity, however, a NVQ 2 or equivalent in greenkeeping will be beneficial.
You must enjoy working as part of a team, supporting both your senior and junior colleagues and have a flexible approach to working hours including weekends on a rota basis.
A strong work ethic, pride in your work and a desire to develop your knowledge, combined with good communication skills and a level of fitness that enables you to work outside and be mobile for large parts of the day.
· Assist the Head Greenkeeper in the preparation and maintenance of the golf course to the highest standard.
· Sufficient work experience in operating all common turf maintenance machinery.
· Knowledge of basic machinery maintenance.
· Have pride in your work and an eye for detail.
· Enhance the natural environment in which the course exists.
· Flexibility to work weekends as part of a rota.
· Basic understanding of the game of golf.

Salary: Competitive including overtime and bonus scheme

Licence/Certification:
· Driving Licence (required)
· NVQ 2 (desirable but not essential)
· Spraying certification (desirable but not essential)
· Chainsaw certification (desirable but not essential)
