- To assist in the daily maintenance, upkeep, and preparation of the golf course and estates to the highest standard. This involves being able to operate ride-on machinery, power tools, and hand tools.
- To carry out all functions within the department safely and professionally.
- To perform basic maintenance service routines on all machinery.
- To operate and carry out basic maintenance repairs on the golf course irrigation system.
- To assist in all present and future construction and drainage project work that is implemented.
- Qualified to industry standard Level 2 Horticulture/Greenkeeping/Sports Turf or currently in an apprenticeship scheme
- PA1, 2 and 6 certification
- Relevant chainsaw licences
- A basic working knowledge of golf course irrigation computer and pipe systems, including maintenance and repair
- Greenkeeping experience
- A keen interest or participation in golf
- The ability to work within a team and to use your initiative
- The ability to work under pressure and maintain strong attention to detail
- Good punctuality and flexibility to the work patterns
- Good communication skills
- Commitment to early start times and to working in adverse weather conditions
