Assistant Lecturer In Metal Fabrication Apprenticeship

Description of Post The post relates primarily to the teaching, training, assessment and academic administrative direction of apprenticeship including: Metal Fabrication Apprenticeship The Assistant Lecturer will be required to comply with the policy of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology in the choice of teaching and training methods and technologies, and to undertake training to keep abreast of technological developments and changes to the SOLAS apprenticeship programmes. The priority subject areas to be covered include but are not limited to: Thermal Processes Plate and Pipe Fabrication Structural Fabrication Fabrication Drawing Communications & Team leadership Related Craft Theory Mathematics Computing In addition, the Assistant Lecturer will be required to organise and supervise project work, as specified to meet the Learning Outcomes of the programme. Appointment(s) may be on a permanent/fixed term/pro-rata/part-time basis as required at Assistant Lecturer level. A panel will be created for any vacancies that may arise in the future. Please note: The postholder will be based at the ATU Donegal, Letterkenny Campus.
