Description of Post The Department of Sport, Exercise and Nutrition delivers a range of undergraduate honours degree programmes and postgraduate taught programmes as well as conducting research to PhD level in several fields. The Department delivers a very successful undergraduate programme in Public Health Nutrition and an MSc in Applied Sport and Exercise Nutrition. Additionally, we have launched an MSc in Nutrition and Food Sensory Science. The successful candidate will help to develop and deliver existing programmes and will also be expected to develop the research capacity in the department. This is an exciting opportunity for a lecturer to join a vibrant, enthusiastic team within the School of Science and Computing and play a role in the on-going developments within the School. As well as the requisite technical skills, results from teamwork, demonstrable skills in project management and most importantly, empathy for learners, should all be evident in the track record of the candidate. Essential Qualifications An Honours Degree (2.2 or higher) in Sports Coaching, Sport & Exercise Science, or a relevant Level 8 degree [as specified in the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ)], or equivalent. Three years relevant post-qualification experience.
