Cedar are excited to be working with a market leading insurance business in their search for an Assistant Management Accountant. Duties and responsibilities:
- Assist in the production of monthly management accounts for the business, within agreed timescales.
- On a monthly basis, establish the cause of budget or forecast variances when comparing to actual results.
- Income reconciliation and monthly booking from the group policy admin systems output.
- Manage and maintain key Balance Sheet reconciliationse.g. Cash, Fixed Assets, AP, payroll control accounts, accruals and prepayments etc.
- When required, support and advise the Finance IBA function.
- Assist the FUL Financial Controller and other members of the finance team in operating and improving internal controls within the finance function.
- Lead on delegated responsibilities in the annual external audit process.
- Provide support during budget and reforecast processes.
- Support the FUL Financial Controller with regulatory return production for the FCA submission.
- Assist with ad hoc finance projects
Requirements:
- Worked within a fast paced, multi-company environment.
- Significant previous experience in a comparable role, ideally in insurance
- Assisting with/or production of management account
