Role and Responsibilities:
As a Assistant Management Accountant, you'll be at the heart of our financial operations, ensuring our management accounts are top-notch. Here's what you'll be doing:
Prepare and Collaborate: Dive into the world of management accounts, working closely with our senior management team to ensure financial success.
Analyze Excellence: Uncover insights by analyzing operational performance, helping us make data-driven decisions.
Budgeting Guru: Assist in budgeting and forecasting, making sure we stay on track financially.
Balancing Act: Keep our balance sheets in check by completing reconciliations with precision.
Asset Wizard: Manage and record fixed assets accurately, ensuring our books are in order.
Data Detective: Conduct comparison analysis in our monthly MI reporting, helping us spot trends and opportunities.
Accrual Expert: Apply accruals and prepayments like a pro, ensuring our financials are accurate.
Ledger Legend: Take charge of a portion of our purchase/sales ledger, maintaining the financial flow.
Payroll Pro: If you've got experience with payroll, that's a bonus!
Month-End Maverick: Assist in our month-end reporting activities, processing general ledger transactions and adjustments.
Audit Ally: Support internal audits, ensuring we're compliant and ready for scrutiny.
Project Powerhouse: Get involved in exciting projects that drive continuous improvement in finance and financial control.
Versatile Virtuoso: Be ready to tackle any ad hoc duties that come your way, in a versatile, hands-on role.
Financial Navigator: Lead, support, and advise our business stakeholders on financial processes, helping us chart our course to success.
Requirements:
We're looking for someone who can hit the ground running and make an impact. To thrive in this role, you'll need:
Fast-Paced Champion: Experience in a fast-paced environment with high volumes.
Financial Expertise: Minimum of 3 years' experience or a graduate with an Accountancy/Finance degree.
Future Leader: The ability to deputize for the Finance Manager and take ownership of the management accounts process in the coming months.
Team Dynamo: A strong team player who collaborates effectively.
Tech Savvy: Proficiency in IT skills, including experience with Xero and advanced Excel reporting, including pivot tables and complex formulas.
Detail-Oriented: A keen eye for detail to ensure financial accuracy.
Work Ethic Extraordinaire: An excellent work ethic that shines through in everything you do.
Experience Matters: Previous experience in a similar role is highly valued.
Communication Pro: Excellent communication skills to relay key information to other staff.
Continuous Learner: Ideally studying towards CIMA or AAT qualification or a recent graduate.
