Our client is an exciting business that has seen rapid growth in the past 12 months. They are based in Southampton and require travel to their offices but also offer hybrid working.
Job Description
As the Assistant Management Accountant, you will be responsible for:
- Managing month end billing process and raising customer invoices
- Manage overall Purchase / Sales ledger including posting of invoices
- Manage month end processes
- Intercompany transactions and transfer pricing
- Prepare & maintain auditable balance sheet reconciliations and monthly accounting adjustments
- Month end management accounts reporting and ad hoc reporting
- Complete monthly reconciliation of revenue & billing run
- Manage debtors & chase accordingly
- Complete quarterly VAT returns
- Financial year end accounts submission and audit
- Dealing with customer queries regarding billing and supporting the sales team.
- Supporting sales with new and existing customer agreements and CRM management.
- Business partner to other departments providing reporting
- Testing & implementing new processes and ways of working to improve the timeliness & accuracy of accounts
- Other ad-hoc administrative tasks.
The Successful Applicant
To be successful for the Assistant Management Accountant position, you must:
- Proven experience in a similar role.
- Part qualified Professional accountancy certification (either ACCA, CIMA or AAT) or qualified by experience
- Strong knowledge of financial principles, regulations, and practices.
- Proficiency in MS Excel skills (experience with Xero preferable but not necessary)
- High attention to detail, organised and process driven
- Comfortable working in a changing environment
