Assistant Management Accountant - GBP40,000 - Nottingham

My client a forerunner in their respective field are looking to add to their highly successful and efficient finance team with the acquisition of a new Assistant Management Accountant. This position will see you working to produce monthly management accounts, whilst also completing financial task and services for all 50+ of the businesses UK based sites.

This role will be based from my clients Nottingham head office (Onsite), and all candidates are required to have the necessary right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting in the budgeting process for submission
• Assist and complete monthly management accounts
• Ensuring Management Accounts accuracy through the performance of key controls and reconciliations
• Ownership of specific P&L and Balance Sheet accounts including calculation and posting of related accruals / prepayments, cost analysis and understanding of variances vs budget / forecast
• Assisting in the preparation of management accounts
• Developing insightful and reliable reporting of costs and revenue that are issued to the Directors.
• Producing regulatory returns, including FCA returns, ONS returns, and VAT returns for review by the Financial Controller.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in management accountancy
• Minimum of 3+ years of industry experience
• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables & VLOOKUPS)
• Part or Full CIMA / ACCA quals are desirable
