Friday : 07:30 – 12 (working from home)

My client will do everything in their power to provide you with the support and the tools you need, and by the time you have completed the contract, you will have a very appealing CV and any company will want you in their team.

My client are keen for this maternity cover to be a success, and have prepared for the chosen candidate to have a 4 week handover period with the lady going on maternity leave. Furthermore, the Financial Controller will be dedicating a significant amount of time to your training and development. You will be on the right tracks for success!

The exposure and responsibilities this role will offer are the big appeal:

• Month end exposure: reporting and reconciliations including preparation of month end journals.
• Forecasting exposure: Producing a weekly payment forecast to the Finance Manager for cash flow reporting.
• VAT exposure: Preparing, reconciling and submitting quarterly VAT return to HMRC.
• Processing intercompany recharges by raising internal credits and invoices.

With regards to your background, the Financial Controller is relatively flexible and would happily consider someone who is unqualified but is operating at a similar level to Assistant Accountant, but the chosen candidate must have the correct attitude, with the ambition to develop and learn, you will be a successful candidate.
