Assistant Management Accountant

• Location: Edinburgh 
• Job Type: Full-time (Temporary to Permanent)

We are seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to support our Finance Manager with month-end processes and accounts. This role starts on an interim basis with the opportunity of a permanent role after a period of time.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Conducing various forecasting.
• Handling banking responsibilities
• Preparing payment runs
• Reconciling balance sheets
• Posting of journals
• Assisting with accounts payable duties
• Complete VAT returns, including analysis of systems and reconciliations.
• Preparing reporting on sales and suppliers
• Liaise with financial and operational managers as appropriate.
• Assisting with audit
• Provide ad hoc support to the wider finance team

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a finance function
• Skilled in MS Office and Excel.
• Excellent numeracy skills
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial information and resolve variances where necessary
