Assistant Management Accountant

Stability in an unstable world. This fifteen month fixed term contract provides a much longer assignment than most interim contracts. And working within a collaborative and friendly finance team you’ll be made to feel welcome from the start.
As an Assistant Management Accountant you’ll report directly into the Management Accountant. Being part of a smaller finance team, you’ll get involved in many aspects of the business and deal with different stakeholders.

Your new role
The key responsibilities of the Assistant Management Accountant are:

• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Journal transactions
• Maintaining the fixed assets register
• Preparing accruals and prepayments
• VAT submissions
• Preparing and making bank transfers within approved limits
• Analysing general ledger trends and accounts

The finance team consists of a Financial Controller, Management Accountant, Assistant Management Accountant, six Purchase Ledger Assistants and two Credit Controllers.

The Interview Process

• A 30 minute TEAMS meeting with a member of the Talent team to explore your motivational drivers for the role of Assistant Management Accountant and to get to know you better;
• A 60 minute competency based interview with the line manager (the Management Accountant) and a representative from the Talent team.
