Cherry Professional are looking for a dedicated Assistant Management Accountant who has had some prior month end experience on behalf of our Nottinghamshire based client within the animal care and manufacturing sector.
This client treat employee welfare as a top priority, and so have instilled a great working environment across their team. They are also very flexible with their hybrid working pattern, allowing their staff to work from home 60% of the week.
In this role, you will also get to report into a Financial Controller who has collected a vast amount of finance know-how through the years and enjoys being able to pass this knowledge on to their team.
Role: Assistant Management Accountant
Location: Nottinghamshire
Salary: Up to £35,000
Role responsibilities:
- Collate information to be used in preparation for budgets, forecasts and cashflows.
- Analysis of profit and loss accounts.
- Month end journal posting including prepayments and accruals.
- Balance sheet reconciliations.
- Maintenance of the fixed asset register.
- Working on systems improvements and ad-hoc projects.
For this role, you do not need previous experience with all of the above, however it is important that you have:
- Previous experience with month end assistance including journals for accruals and prepayments.
- A good level of excel and accountancy systems exposure.
- Studied towards AAT/CIMA/ACA/ACCA and be part-qualified.
