About Us: Join our dynamic team at The Pheasant, a vibrant and bustling establishment known for its warm atmosphere, great drinks, and exceptional service. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Manager to play a key role in the day-to-day operations of our fantastic local pub.
Position: Assistant Manager - Full Time
Responsibilities: As the Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for managing the overall operations of the pub during opening and closing hours. Your duties will include:
- Opening and Closing Procedures: Execute daily opening and closing tasks, ensuring the pub is set up for success and closed down securely.
- Staff Management: Supervise and lead a team of enthusiastic staff, providing guidance and support as needed. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service with a focus on table service. Ensure that guests have a memorable experience, and address any issues promptly.
- Inventory Management: Assist in placing relevant stock orders, and monitor stock to minimise waste and optimise profitability.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, licensing laws, and company policies.
- Training: Train new staff members on company policies, procedures, and service standards.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Experience with table service and a passion for delivering excellent customer service that both surprises and delights our guests.
- Proven ability to manage opening and closing procedures effectively.
- Reliable transportation to commute to and from the pub, as there is no on-site accommodation.
