JOB TITLE: Assistant Manager, Performance & Insight
SALARY: £41,292 - £45,880
LOCATION(S): Halifax or Cardiff
HOURS: Full time
WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in an office site
About this opportunity
Within Retail Finance, Performance & Insight are a team of around 170 finance colleagues providing the analytical, reporting and planning capability that helps all Retail businesses understand their performance. They also play an important role in analysing, articulating and challenging business plans over their lifecycle from idea through to implementation.
To do this the team need a pipeline of analytical finance professionals to be part of our journey. We’re looking for potential, energy and a desire to develop personally and make a difference to the way we do things. We also believe we can best support our businesses by drawing on a wide range of views and perspectives and are therefore keen to build a team from diverse backgrounds.
You'll join a specialist team that covers one of the Retail products, and will gain a deep understanding of its business, people, and processes. You could be helping to developing business plans and forecasts, reporting performance, undertaking deep dives into performance issues, influencing commercial pricing decisions, or answering other ad hoc questions. You’ll interact directly with and influence business partners, and often colleagues in the business.

What you’ll need

You’ll have high degree of numeracy, analytical skills, and an understanding of financials. You’re very likely to have a formal finance qualification or be working towards one.
