Are you an experienced Senior Payroller, looking for your next challenge?
JGA are working with a leading chartered accountancy who are looking for an Assistant Payroll Manager to join their busy payroll team.
Your Main Responsibilities:
- Support the Payroll Manager and act as deputy when needed.
- Manage day-to-day administration of large and complex client payrolls independently,
- Provide technical training on statutory payroll legislation to the team.
- Cultivate client relationships and promote services offered by the Payroll Team and the firm.
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of pension auto-enrolment.
- Ensure compliance in onboarding new payroll clients.
- Conduct appraisals for junior team members, support team goals, and monitor team.
- Proactively manage deadlines and resolve complex queries or customer service issues.
What You ll Need:
- Previous experience in a relevant payroll bureau role.
- Certified by the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP).
- Profound understanding of current legislation.
- Proficiency in payroll software, preferably Iris Professional Payroll.
- Strong IT and numeracy skills, including advanced Excel proficiency.
- Organized with excellent time management abilities.
- Capable of working collaboratively within a team and independently.
- Displays accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
- Exhibits a positive attitude and takes a proactive approach to tasks.
