Assistant Procurement Manager

A1 Personnel are currently recruiting for an Assistant Procurement Manager for a permanent contract on behalf of our client based in Croydon.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Negotiating with suppliers on pricing, terms, and conditions of sale
• Reviewing bids received from suppliers for potential purchase orders based on price, quality, delivery terms, and other factors
• Managing inventory levels of supplies and materials to ensure adequate supply while minimizing costs
• Liaising with various departments
• Contract negotiation, pricing, and cost management
• Efficient management of systems and process controls

Requirements:

• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) to have the ability to negotiate cost prices, discuss quality issues with suppliers and build relationships
• Tidy paperwork management, and organised method of working
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word
• Experience of driving a van
• Forklift driving experience (not essential)
• Previous experience in a similar is essential (2-3 years)

• Monday to Friday:
• 5.30am-1.30pm
