Our international client is offering an exciting new opportunity involving the coordination and reporting on the production fulfilment process to meet production planning schedules. This will include the management of materials shortages for Sales, Project, and Engineering requirements to ensure the efficient fulfilment of WIP.
Effective communication and coordination skills will be needed as you ll be liaising with various internal stakeholders including Purchasing, Goods Inspection, and the Warehouse team.
The Assistant Production Planner will:
- Review and release daily job confirmations and identify any shortages to ensure, where possible, jobs are production ready.
- Update and review sales, engineering and project orders, and consignment stock orders weekly.
- Report and expedite any material shortages impacting production schedules and escalate promptly to relevant stakeholders.
- Work closely with the Purchasing team to enable reporting to relevant stakeholders on any supplier shortages and/or quality issues that may impact production schedules.
- Liaise with the Incoming Goods Inspection teams to progress goods through inspection.
- Monitor picklist sequence report, targeting required kits especially related to sales orders, ahead of build requirement date.
- Liaise with the Warehouse team to communicate and expedite any changes in schedule to picklists.
We re looking for previous experience in a manufacturing environment with some knowledge of MRP principles. Strong MS Office skills are needed, especially Excel.
