Assistant Production Planner

One years fixed term contract

£26,000 plus 24 days holidays plus stats and 7.5% pension

Monday to Friday – 35.5 hours per week

Job responsibilities

Working with production plans and maintaining raw material and packaging stocks to ensure 100% OTIF (On Time In Full) deliveries to customers

Duties

• Planning Administration, raising and checking paperwork on receipt and prior to issuing to production.
• Issue production plan to all areas.
• Raise production schedules and ensure the availability of materials and labels.
• Use of process control system.
• Progress chasing, inventory checking and liaising with production/quality/laboratory with planning.
• Raw material and finished goods availability.
• Ensure that achievable production plans are issued promptly.
• Report accurate consumption of raw materials to ensure full traceability.
• Work closely with the Production Team to ensure delivery schedules, requirements and availability are met.
• Provide admin support to Production Manager and Supervisor

Candidate

• Ideally you will have previous experience as a Production Planner assistant

if not you must have worked within a manufacturing, production or process environments

• Strong organisational skills
• Good IT skills (Excel)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
• Can work independently
• Be able to learn new skills quickly, and have a friendly, flexible work attitude
