Address We are looking for an enthusiastic Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join our innovative multi-disciplinary Emotional & Behavioural Team (EBT3) in Bedford CAMHS. We are currently doing hybrid working.
EB3 offers a wide range of therapeutic interventions to young people aged 5-18 and their families. We have close links to schools and community services. The role involves completing assessments and completing individual and group interventions.

The team is part of Bedfordshire CAMHS which is a large, dynamic and successful CAMHs service comprising of 2 emotional and behavioural teams, a LAC team, a CAMHs schools team, a parent-infant psychotherapy team, a paediatric team, a GP team, an adolescent mental health team, a crisis team and an eating disorders service and Neurodevelopment Team. We also have embedded workers in Early Help, CDC and social care.
The post-holder will provide a specialist service within CAMHS to children, young people and their families in the North of Bedfordshire and will be based in our CAMHS hub in Bedford. The successful post-holder will directly contribute to the positive working environment within the multi-disciplinary team. The post-holder will be expected to hold a high degree of autonomy and to contribute to service development projects as well as line management and clinical supervision of other team members.
The clinical team leaders are committed to staff development: there are regular opportunities for staff to apply for appropriate training courses. We are also passionate about service user participation, for example in evaluation of groups and service development. Our teams regularly undertake quality improvement initiatives. ELFT also prioritises staff wellbeing and we have introduced a range of staff wellbeing initiatives to support this.
