My client is looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join the active team and work on a variety of projects nationwide. They deliver projects in refurbishment and fire protection. Your role as a Quantity Surveyor is to provide commercial support on projects to ensure that it is obtained, delivered within budget and to the highest quality.

Roles and Responsibilities

Responsibilities supporting the Senior Quantity Surveyor in the duties below:

• Preparation, submission and agreement of interim valuations;
• Subcontractor procurement;
• Monthly Cost Value Reconciliations;
• Projecting cost and value to completion;
• Re-measure and checking of Bills of Quantities;
• Assessing Subcontractor payment applications;
• Recording and agreement of contract variations;
• Agreement of Final Accounts.

The Person

The qualities we are looking for in an Assistant Quantity Surveyor:

• Strong knowledge of construction contracts and cost management
• Working knowledge in Microsoft Office packages
• Good communication skills (verbal and written)
• Excellent attention to detail and meticulous planning and organizational skills
