Background As a key member of the Academic Services team and the Quality and Academic Development (QUAD) function, the Assistant Registrar (Partnerships and Academic Development) leads the day to day management of the development, approval and review of our academic offer to students. This includes academic provision delivered in partnership with other institutions. You will also oversee the development and implementation of the quality and standards framework that supports these activities. You will advise City’s senior staff, and ultimately Senate, on proposals and ongoing oversight of all City’s academic programmes and partnerships. Responsibilities You will oversee institutional level management of the programme development, approval, amendment and periodic review processes; along with the management of City's validation and institutional partnerships portfolio. You will oversee support and governance structures for programme development, approval, amendment and periodic review activities including effective operation of the City Programme Approval Committee and associated relevant committees. You will manage the development and implementation of the University’s quality and standards framework for partnership provision, including providing high level management of City’s Collaborative Provision Committee and associated relevant committees. In addition you will line manage the Quality & Standards Officers who operationally support programme and partnership development, approval and review activities; providing them with clear direction and support, ensuring effective work allocation, setting objectives and undertaking appraisals. Person Specification You will have experience of operating in a quality and standards function, ideally within a Higher Education environment and preferably with experience of partnership activity. You will have experience of working within an internal and external regulatory framework, including the application of this framework with clear logic and rationale. You will have experience of managing or engaging in strategic and policy development work that supports ongoing improvements to an administrative function.
