Assistant Warehouse Project Manager

Location: Milton Keynes

Salary: £45,000-£50,000

Summary

At Bis Henderson, we are seeking an Assistant Warehouse Project Manager to assist the Warehouse Project Manager in a key project within a progressive warehouse operation. This project is part of a business drive for continuous improvement and optimising operations and processes within them. The successful candidate will have an operational background, as well as previous experience managing projects. Previous experience in designing operational layouts and process flows is especially desirable.

This role is a 9 to 12 month fixed-term contract, with potential to go permanent.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in a key project within a warehouse / logistics function.
• Physical relocation of a warehouse into a condensed operation.
• Assisting in re-designing inbound & outbound processes and flows and training teams accordingly.
• Liaising with production teams to organise the flow of finished goods through to despatch.
• Negotiating with key suppliers to maximise value.

Key Skills/Experience

• Previous leadership experience within a warehouse operation.
• Previous experience managing projects within a warehouse function.
• Experience process mapping and leading the relocation of a warehouse is desirable.
• Strong communication skills to communicate changes to the team and train staff on new processes.
• Strong attention to detail, able to spot areas of improvement and adapt processes accordingly.
