Job description

Assistive Technology Officer
Salary: Grade E - £26,421 - £28,770 per annum, (part time pro rata amount is £13,210.50 - £14,835 per annum) 
Shift: 1 x 18.5 hours per week 17.00-23:00 four days on and four days off, to include Weekends and Bank Holidays
Based at Harvey Road Nottingham NG8 3BB

Nottingham on Call is our 24/7 call centre providing specialist advice and support to elderly and vulnerable residents. We provide services to residents within the Nottingham City and surrounding areas who use our lifeline emergency response systems. We also take over from the customer service centre, taking emergency repairs calls from tenants outside of office hours.
As an Assistive Technology Officer your duties will include:

Answering inbound calls from our elderly and most vulnerable customers ensuring that a prompt response to their needs or emergency is provided.
Answering calls from out of hours services including repairs, Emergency Duty Team and Housing Aid.
Responding to day-to-day queries, administration and maintaining accurate records.
Travelling to customers’ homes to install and collect simple alarm equipment and to support and provide reassurance pending the arrival of the emergency services. 

The ideal candidate will:

Have excellent customer service skills plus a calm and caring approach to deal with a range of issues facing customers
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally to ensure that the highest level of customer service standards is met.
Have some knowledge of working in a service that delivers support services to vulnerable people and/or in a call related environment.
Have some experience working with elderly and vulnerable clients, as the role requires the ability to empathise and respond according to their individual needs. 

Essential Requirements:

Full UK Driving Licence
This post is subject to an Enhanced DBS check 

Please note: Full training on installing Telecare equipment will be provided.
