The role:
As an Associate Accountant, the primary purpose is to provide financial support and control for our branch offices located in Prague, Amsterdam, Madrid, and Dublin. This involves understanding and meeting the financial regulatory reporting requirements specific to each jurisdiction where these branches operate. Additionally, it entails compiling and reporting financial information to headquarters management, ensuring transparency and accuracy in our financial operations across locations.
Responsibilities:
- Review cashbook provided by branches and post journal entries.
- Maintain accrual schedules and fixed assets registers to prepare monthly non-cashbook entries.
- Conduct variance analysis on monthly/ quarterly basis to ensure the accuracy of the accounts.
- Prepare and submit the regulatory reporting (FINREP, COREP, statistic reports, etc.) to central banks of each jurisdiction.
- Organise the monthly/ quarterly review meeting with various stake holders.
- Attestation of thin branches balances sheets, provisional accounts as well as tax related account on quarterly basis.
- Support for IFRS16 related entries
- Support with remediation of issues on Risk Register
- Correspond with KPMG audit of Madrid Branch.
- Support KPMG year end audit of Bank EU AG.
- Prepare annual account for tax return purpose and correspondence with local tax consultants.
- Ad-hoc tasks including invoice processing on behalf of F&C London and maintenance of provisional accounts of F&C London.
- Support Financial Controller on projects and ad hoc requests.
Requirements:
- Accounting/ business knowledge
- Very good knowledge of Excel (formulas, pivot tables);
- Reporting system IT and analytical experience (preferable)
- Financial Service work experiences (preferable)
- Strong communication skills
- Strong organisation skills
- Self-motivated and proactive individual
- Excellent analytical skills
- Able to work in flexible and respective manner according to the needs of the company.
- Ability to contribute to small team of subject experts.
- Ability to handle pressure of reporting whit tight deadlines.
