Their Commercial team is seeking an Associate to join their Business, Advisory and Transaction Services (BATS) Division, specializing in Technology, Consumer, and Sport sectors. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of technology, data protection, and commercial matters, with the potential for specialization as you progress in your career.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage your workload effectively, providing transactional and advisory legal advice to clients.
- Collaborate with team members and sector specialists to meet work requirements and execute business development strategies.
- Apply a commercial approach to delivering advice tailored to each client's needs.
- Support Partners in marketing and business development activities to expand the client base and network.
- Assist with corporate support on IP-heavy and technology-related deals.
- Contribute to divisional knowledge and know-how.
Skills and Experience:
- Qualified solicitor or equivalent with 2-3 years’ PQE.
- Strong technical knowledge of commercial, data protection, and technology-related contracts.
- In-house secondment or relevant industry sector experience is preferred.
- Proven track record in business development and marketing.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
- Confident in verbal and written communication with diverse clients.
- A good fit with the Firm’s culture and existing team.
- Flexible approach and willingness to go the extra mile.
- Excellent drafting skills and clear expression appropriate for various client types.
- Highly collaborative approach and effective liaison with colleagues and other law firms.
