Purpose of job
As Associate DirectorMarketing Technology & Operations, you will play a critical role in shaping and enhancing how BCLP goes to market by leveraging and connecting technology to optimize operational efficiency. This position is ideal for an innovative and dynamic leader with a deep understanding of Marketing Technology trends, analytics, budgeting, reporting and project management, and a passion for driving results in a legal services environment.
With extensive experience in the management of platforms, channels and data and reporting tools, the Associate Director - Marketing Technology & Operations will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, IT, and business development, to ensure the effective utilization of technology to drive brand awareness, client acquisition and revenue growth.
The role is also responsible for budgeting and reporting, vendor management, data management, analytics and strategic projects for the function and the firm.
Key responsibilities
Strategic Planning:
  • Develop and implement the firm’s Marketing Technology and operations strategy in alignment with the needs of the function and overall business objectives.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to identity opportunities for innovation and optimization in marketing processes.
MarTech platforms, channels and tools:
  • Evaluate, select and implement marketing technologies to enhance client acquisition, engage
  • Oversee the selection, implementation, and optimization of Marketing Technology tools, including Customer Relationship Management (CRM), marketing automation, analytics, and other relevant platforms.
  • Manage vendor relationships and contracts, ensuring cost-effectiveness and high performance.
  • Building a robust data foundation with infrastructure, processes, and strategies to collect, manage, analyse and store business intelligence
  • Optimizing investment across the Marketing Technology stack
Data Management and Analytics:
  • Lead efforts to gather, analyze, and leverage data to drive marketing insights and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure data accuracy, compliance with regulations, and the development of meaningful reporting metrics.
Integration and Collaboration:
  • Foster collaboration between the marketing and IT teams to ensure seamless integration of Marketing Technology solutions with other business systems.
  • Work closely with business development and legal teams to understand their technology needs and tailor solutions accordingly.
Training and Support:
  • Help develop and manage training programs to ensure that marketing and business development teams are proficient in using technology tools.
  • Provide ongoing support to users, troubleshooting issues, and facilitating continuous improvement.
Security and Compliance:
  • Implement and enforce security protocols to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with relevant regulations, such as GDPR and other data privacy laws.
Budget Management:
  • Manage the Marketing Technology and operations budget, providing cost analysis and recommendations for optimal resource allocation.

Experience, Knowledge and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Strong track record of relevant and in-depth Marketing Technology experience in professional services firms (10+ years)
  • Deep knowledge of content management, CRM, experience management and analytics platforms
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data, draw insights, and make data-driven decisions
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects concurrently.
