About this opportunity
We have an opportunity for an individual who consistently demonstrates exceptional talent and drive to join our team as an Associate Director of Ratings, within our wider Treasury Markets function.
In this role you’ll be involved in Engagement with Moody’s, S&P and Fitch, managing the assigned Credit Ratings for all Group legal entities. Collaboration skills are key in this role as you will be working with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information and support all credit and ESG rating activities. You’ll be responsible for conducting comprehensive analysis of industry trends, relevant data, and market information to determine rating risks, opportunities and sensitivities. Handling rating agency costs and providing senior insights will also be part of your responsibilities.
Day to day you may also be involved in the following;
  • Managing the capital and liquidity position of the Group and its subsidiaries including setting risk appetite, planning in base and stress, issuance and allocation.
  • Liquidity and market risk management for the Group and its subsidiaries, including interest rate and FX hedging and managing our Liquid Asset Portfolio.
  • Capital markets activity including the issuance of bonds and strategies for optimisation of our equity and debt stack including structuring share buy backs.
  • Recovery and Resolution planning for the Group, to ensure we are prepared should we ever face a likelihood of failure.
  • Leading key regulatory submission such as the ILAAP and ICAAP.
  • Managing our divisional engagement and provide insight and challenge across a range of areas, including product pricing, product development and resource allocation.
  • The treasury activities of our non-bank entities, including LBG Equity Investments Limits and Scottish Widows Group including strategic optimisation.

With significant opportunities for visibility to senior management, you’ll build your network across the organisation whilst taking a lead role in high profile work for the Group. This is a great role for an individual who thrives in thought leadership, influencing senior internal colleagues and joining the dots across multiple areas of activity to support the Group and its subsidiaries Credit and ESG Ratings.
