Location: Central London + Flexi Working (2 days remote vs 3 in the office)

Reports to: Group Chief Financial Officer
We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced European Commercial Finance Director to lead our Commercial Finance and FP&A function.
As the European Commercial Finance Director, you'll be a crucial finance ally to our leadership, finance, and regional sales teams, playing a vital role in championing our strategic and commercial objectives. Your mission will be to forge robust business partnerships and steer a finance and commercial agenda that bolsters our strategic goals while driving sales and commercial performance. Leading the FP&A function across all regions, your responsibilities include forecasting future milestones, providing insightful analyses, and furnishing in-depth commercial support to our sales, finance, and leadership teams. Your focus will be on precision, evidence-based forecasting grounded in commercial assumptions aligned with our overarching strategy. Moreover, you'll bear wider responsibilities for commercial review and investment appraisal.
Responsibilities:

• Spearhead the annual budget for the UK and Europe and a three-year strategic plan, pinpointing areas for growth and efficiency to drive our long-term strategic vision and goals.
• Drive business momentum by offering key insights and identifying emerging trends.
• Take charge of the financial assessment for critical business activities and new opportunities, such as market launches, new customer acquisitions, stand expenditures, and product launches (in collaboration with the Commercial function).
• Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes for the Group to predict performance accurately based on trends and drivers.
• Collaborate closely with the Group Finance Head and CFO to provide investors with accurate P&L and Cashflow forecasts.
• Act as a bridge between the financial leadership and the sales and commercial teams.
• Identify issues impacting forecast delivery, covering all aspects of the P&L.
• Collaborate with the Commercial Directors in commercial negotiations, whether for contract renewals, new partnerships, or customer terms.
• Lead, inspire, and motivate a finance team.

What You'll Bring:

• A qualified accountant (ACMA, ACCA, ACA).
• Fashion/Luxury Goods/FMCG / Retail - Commercial Finance / FP&A experience (at Senior Manager, Head of, Director level or similar).
• Exceptional relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to challenge effectively and drive business performance.
• Experience in a Commercial Finance function of a company of scale.
• Strong modelling skills.
• Experience in the industry and a profound understanding of business drivers.
