SalaryWe have an exciting opportunity for a Pricing Director to join the Commercial Leadership team. This is a critical role, reporting to the Chief Underwriting Officer and part of the Underwriting Senior Leadership team, the Pricing Director leads a team of Actuaries and Data Scientists. Following significant investment in data and pricing tools this role works at the heart of the business to deliver and deploy sophisticated pricing models, portfolio management and case underwriting insight from a combination of internal and external data assets. Working closely with the Line of Business Leaders, Strategic Portfolio, Capital and Exposure Leaders to ensure we have upper quartile pricing delivered across all our channels.
What you’ll be doing:
Leading the Technical Pricing and analytics function across Commercial Lines business for Digital, Schemes and Complex business and, in conjunction with the Underwriting Pricing and Portfolio Management Team (UPP), agreeing the pricing priorities.
Ensuring delivery of all the required models using the best available methods and then deploying them across the business. In addition to traditional risk pricing models, AXA Commercial is deploying propensity, operational optimisation, algorithmic trading and underwriter decision support across a broad range of products and channels.
Chairing the Pricing Committee, sponsoring the ongoing strategic initiatives around pricing.
Reviewing models built by the Technical Pricing and Analytics Team and aligning them with the IT transformation programme that is underway.
Ensuring that pricing impact assessments are accurate, appropriately granular and built in such a way as to be transparent to the wider business.
Delivering technical pricing reviews and assist senior management in using analytics in regular pricing decision making.
Leading all pricing improvement projects, including getting the most from the Radar Live infrastructure.
Ensuring that the data needs of the Pricing team are met and a suite of pricing MI is built and maintained for the Commercial Business.
