Job Purpose
ICE Data Services, a subsidiary of Intercontinental Exchange Inc. presents a unique opportunity for a full-time position to join the Commercial Management team within the Fixed Income Data Services (FIDS) division reporting to the Senior Director, Commercial Management and Strategy. The position will lead the Global Index, Feeds, and Desktop Commercial Management team to develop and implement cohesive commercial strategy, policy and operations workflow. This includes working closely with Sales, Relationship Management, Business Development, Product & Platform Management and Technology teams to ensure easy and consistent integration into the prospect to cash workflows.
Responsibilities
Commercial Strategy
- Collaborate with product and business development to define and execute the commercial strategy for each business.
- Develop commercial frameworks that align with the commercial strategy, adjusting to take account of the product lifecycle for mature products, newer products and target markets and repackage content sets to commercially align across the product suite.
- Collaborate with Product on roadmap and retirement of legacy platforms and restructuring of commercial packages to simplify.
- Conceptualize, design and execute business process improvements that increase sales and operations productivity and innovate for future business needs.
Commercial Management
- Lead a team of Global Commercial Management professionals providing guidance, support and escalation point to ensure every deal is aligned with the commercial strategy.
- Develop the Commercial Management team to meet the evolving needs of the Fixed Income Data Services business including facilitating cross training between team members to enhance product coverage and skill sets.
- Engage with Sales & Relationship Management on defining and structuring strategic deals with our high value/high potential and strategic clients.
- Balance between the need of supporting & simplifying the commercial framework, while also supporting the development of new pricing policies for new product launches or product extensions
- Implement commercial best-practices which can be systematized and scaled across the business.
Knowledge and Experience
- Strong background in Sales, Account Management, Product Management or Market Data vendor management for financial data products.
- Minimum of 10 years in financial data businesses and 5 years’ experience in Index or Real time data
- Proven record of establishing solid working relationships with sales, product, and business development to define & execute commercial strategy and policy.
- Excels in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment and can navigate successfully across all levels from analyst to executive leadership.
- Management experience with a global commercial or business operations team
- Must have strong communication skills; ideal candidate will be able to clearly and confidently express important details in writing and verbally.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Salesforce and Tableau is required.
