We’re now looking for a Senior Commercial Strategy Manager to join our Reader Revenue team and design our retention and pricing strategies that maximise the lifetime value of our 1.1million subscribers. 

About the Role

Retention

• Developing Retention Strategies that foster long-term subscriptions and reduce churn
• Data analytics, understand customer behaviour, identify patterns, and pinpoint reasons for churn
• Establishing mechanisms for collecting and analysing feedback from customers who churn to understand pain points and inform improvements in products or services
• Devising  initiatives to enhance customer engagement and satisfaction throughout the subscription lifecycle

Pricing

• Developing pricing strategies that align with the Guardians business objectives, target market, and competitive landscape
• Maximising revenue and profitability by setting optimal price points for different subscription plans, both direct subscribers and app store subscribers
• Deciding on discounts and offers to be used in promotions
• Collaborating with propositions, growth and CRM team ensuring alignment between pricing strategies and overall business objectives

About You

• Knowledge and experience of subscription businesses highly preferential 
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and derive actionable insights
• A solid grasp of financial concepts and metrics
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis 
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and reporting
