SLR has a large and successful Environmental Management, Permitting and Compliance (EMPC) team that works across all business areas throughout Ireland and the UK servicing six of its business areas (Mining & Minerals, Infrastructure, Energy, Manufacturing & Industry, Power and Built Environment). We are recruiting experienced Senior and/ or Associate Environmental Consultants to join our EMPC team in Ireland. You can be based on our Dublin, Cork or Kilkenny offices.
What you will do:
You will have the opportunity to manage and deliver solutions for both small and large-scale projects within the EMPC team. Projects will typically include inputs into environmental impact assessments, environmental audits, IED and IPC permit applications, Environmental Management system, environmental noise surveys, air quality assessments, environmental baseline surveys and environmental risk assessments.
You will be responsible for contributing to the environmental aspects of planning applications / environmental permits and licences for the extractive / minerals sector.

- Experience within an Environmental Consultancy
- Experience of working within a consultancy and delivering projects to timescale/budget constraints
- Knowledge of Environmental Monitoring Techniques (Air quality assessments and Noise Surveys)
- Knowledge of the Irish environmental regulatory system. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team, and if necessary to manage a team of internal or external consultants.
- The ability to deliver projects within deadline and budget constraints.
- Full drivers licence
It would also be advantageous if you possess:
- Professional body Membership, or working towards same
- Strong commercial awareness
- Strong project management and communication skills.
