Associate Financial Crime & Compliance - Monitoring and Assurance

Lloyd’s is seeking to recruit an Associate Financial Crime & Compliance - Monitoring and Assurance. As an associate you will be supporting Lloyd’s as a nationally significant institution, with contact with the PRA, FCA, Bank of England and Government at the highest level. Support the delivery of FC&C owned project work through active participation in the execution and enhancement of scheduled activities (e.g. Risk Assessments, SMCR. You will be operating the appropriate systems and second line controls to mitigate Financial Crime and compliance risk and participate in a proportionate, risk-based programs of Financial Crime and compliance oversight activity.
Principal Accountabilities for the Associate
• Support the delivery of effective regulatory meetings with the FCA and PRA, ensuring issues are identified and prepared for, attendees briefed, and feedback extracted
• Support the process for briefing and dissemination of key messages to support Lloyd’s interactions with the UK regulators
• Undertake administrative duties on behalf of the wider FC&C teams and supporting on agreed “business as usual” tasks and analysis, completing required reporting to a high standard with minimal supervision and providing advice / guidance to 1st line colleagues, as required, to ensure Compliance and Financial Crime Frameworks, processes and procedures are effectively embedded within the business
• Provide support towards the management and delivery of projects and workstreams through the maintenance of work/activity schedules as requested, supporting the delivery of Lloyd’s strategy
• Support the conduct of both Lloyd’s and Market Financial Crime and compliance oversight activity including thematic review work and principles-based oversight
Associate Skills and Knowledge
• Some knowledge of Financial Crime, compliance and regulatory issues
• The ability to interact constructively with line management and manage own work effectively
• Problem solving skills and the ability to develop creative and innovative solutions
• Clear and concise written and oral communication
• A flexible approach to work assignments and the ability to cope with and be supportive of change in a positive and constructive manner and participate in projects and processes as needed
