JOB TITLE:Associate - Sovereigns Supranationals and Agencies
LOCATION:London
HOURS:Full Time
WORKING PATTERN:Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of your time, at our London office.
About this opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Associate to join the Sovereigns Supranationals and Agencies (“SSA”) team. You'll focus on the SSA set, a growing sector in the Asset & Wealth Managers group and playing a lead role in developing LBG’s profile in the market to attract new business and enhance relationships with existing clients.
You'll primarily support the MD and RD on client portfolio consisting of overseas entities, Central banks, Supranationals, Sovereign Wealth Funds and Agencies - helping deepen the existing relationships, bringing the bank’s proposition to the client and support overall objective of becoming part of these entities bank panels. In addition to this, you'll also receive the opportunity to manage certain clients from the beginning, providing an opportunity to own and build relationships.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Growing a portfolio of SSA clients alongside the Director with a Global remit.
- Originating and developing business leads across the entire CIB and LBG franchise, to maximise business opportunities and growth for the Group.
- Supporting the overall growth of revenue, with a key focus on delivering new products to existing clients.
- Collaborating with senior partners and business owners across several key product areas - most specifically Financial Markets and the Export Credit Agencies team and across geographies (Frankfurt and New-York).
- Ensuring the team is maximising client relationship value to deepen the wallet across the portfolio.
- Promoting the team franchise with internal and external partners, collaborating closely with Product, Risk and Delivery to maximise impact and opportunities.
- Building strong client and partner relationships as well as managing existing banking relationships globally

What we need from you?
- Experience of client relationships and supporting senior colleagues to develop new business activity.
- Proactive client approach with a desire to grow a portfolio.
- Knowledge and interest for the Global macro-outlook, with an awareness of Central bank policies, the business, economic and political environment (domestic and international) in financial services industry.
- Knowledge of sector and product suite that Lloyds can offer to our client base (CB Markets products and Lending).
