Our projects are all around you. We define, design and manage projects that create shared value to a complex, urbanising and resource-scarce world. Our people are our success. We need people who share our passion on solving the problems that matter. Here you’ll find work that is challenging and rewarding, and you’ll be supported every step of the way.

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced professional with proven experience in consultancy work to join our Waste and Resource Management Team in the UK for projects in both the public and private sector.

Working across multiple sectors, this is a client facing role involving:

  • Design and implement a plan to support a growth strategy for the Circular Economy and Net Zero area in conjunction with the wider RPS business.
  • Leading projects across a wide range of waste and Resource Management including supporting clients on the circular economy and Sustainability
  • Supporting procurement exercises for the public sector, including, developing tender specifications and associated documentation and subsequently undertaking tender evaluations.
  • Preparation of EIA chapters relating to sustainability and Resource Management.
  • Providing practical sustainability advice to small and large organisations concerning: Corporate Social Responsibility, ESG and Net Zero Carbon Strategies.
  • The development of feasibility studies and business cases to support the delivery of waste infrastructure and collection models
  • Presenting to clients and identifying future opportunities.
  • Working to mentor junior or new members of the team
  • Preparation of bid/tender documents with our bid team

About You:

Suitable candidates will be qualified in a relevant Engineering or Environmental degree and ideally be Chartered or progressing towards Chartership with ICE, CIWM, CIWEM or equivalent. You will possess a minimum of 8 years’ experience, ideally within the waste and resources sector while also providing experience of working on sustainability and Net Zero Carbon strategies. Ideal candidates will already understand and recognise opportunities for the circular economy and Sustainability principles. A confident, capable approach is required to attend client and project meetings as well as the ability to grow and lead a team. The ability to work on your own initiative as a confident self-starter is essential. With involvement in networking, developing leads, winning and delivery of consultancy projects this role will involve finding opportunities to present our capabilities to new clients. Therefore, a commercial awareness and a wide network of industry contacts would be a distinct advantage.
