We currently have positions available for Newly Qualified Social Workers within the Child in need team and Child in care team where you will receive a structured package of support throughout your Assessed and supported year of employment.
We offer a nurturing ASYE programme for newly qualified workers which includes a protected caseload, dedicated time for study and additional reflective supervisions.
The support you will be provided will be through our newly created Social Work Academy who will allocate you a designated ASYE assessor. You will have access to a monthly peer reflection group, specialised training and development with opportunities to progress beyond your ASYE year.
When you become a permanent Social Work employee at Halton Borough Council we'll welcome you with a payment of up to £4000* to recognise your contribution to our Children’s Services.
We’re offering £2000 (pro-rata for part-time) to new appointments made to permanent qualified social work roles. There is an additional payment of £2000 (pro-rata for part-time) paid to new appointments in qualified Social Worker posts in the Children in Need Teams.
